Contact us to start a conversation about your project in Toronto, the GTA or elsewhere.
Our work is primarily residential, but it is not limited to a fixed list of project types. We are especially interested in projects where the site, program, context, or way of living creates an unusual opportunity for architectural design. That may be a custom home, renovation, multiplex, secondary home, challenging infill site, or a project that does not fit neatly into a conventional category.
The first step is to understand the property, the people who will live there, and the questions that should be answered before the project advances. Zoning, existing conditions, site opportunities, approvals, consultant requirements, budget, timing, and the desired level of design support can all influence the appropriate path.
You do not need to have every decision made before getting in touch. Many clients begin while comparing several options, considering a property purchase, or trying to understand what may be realistic.

What to Include in Your Enquiry
A short description is sufficient to begin.
Where available, it is helpful to include:
- the property address or neighbourhood
- the type of project being considered
- whether the property is already owned or under consideration
- the principal changes, number of homes, or spaces being explored
- an approximate timeline
- any survey, photographs, existing drawings, or relevant municipal information
- the questions or decisions that feel most important at this stage
Do not delay reaching out because some of this information is unavailable. The first conversation can identify what should be gathered next.
What to Expect
We respond to enquiries within one business day.
For most projects, the next step is a complimentary 20-minute conversation by phone or video. It is used to understand the project at a high level, determine whether the project and studio are a good fit, and identify the next useful step.
It is an introductory discussion rather than a design consultation, zoning review, or feasibility study.
Where the questions require site-specific analysis, detailed advice, drawings, or a written outcome, a fixed-rate one-hour consultation or Pre-Design Study may be the more useful next step. The scope and fee are confirmed before that work begins.

Our First Conversation
The introductory conversation focuses on:
- the property and current conditions
- the household or users the project needs to support
- the project type and approximate scope
- known zoning, approval, or site concerns
- timing and construction-budget expectations
- the level of design, documentation, and construction support being considered
- the most useful next step
The conversation also tests whether the project, working approach, timing, and expectations are aligned.
Where a project is a potential fit, the next step may be a proposal, a fixed-rate consultation, a Pre-Design Study, or a request for additional property information.
